The University of North Georgia and the Cadet Leadership Academy hosts international military faculty and instructors for the purpose of teaching, instructing or lecturing, studying, observing, conducting research, consulting, and demonstrating special skills in the general interest of international academic exchange.

Visiting Military Faculty may arrive to Âé¶¹APPin four non-student categories including:
Military Faculty Planning Considerations
Eligibility
International Military Faculty must be formally invited and sponsored by either the Cadet Leadership Academy and/or a Âé¶¹APPacademic department.
Planning Time
Visiting military faculty must begin planning at least six months in advance in order to prepare all the necessary supporting documents and carefully consider the complexities of immigration regulations for staffing positions and research coordination.
International Military Faculty Pre-acceptance
In order to research, lecture, or teach full-time at UNG, scholars must complete and or submit the following documents:
- Âé¶¹APPNon-Paid Affiliate Form
- Âé¶¹APPVolunteer Registration Agreement Form
- Military Background Check/Status
- Curriculum Vitae
- Research Plan and Intent
- International Insurance
- Valid Passport
- Immigration Form
International Military Faculty Acceptance
Âé¶¹APPHuman Resources (HR) will provide military faculty with acceptance as a Âé¶¹APPvisiting faculty member.
- All visiting military faculty will receive:
- Âé¶¹APPID Card
- Access to all Âé¶¹APPFacilities (library, dining facility, office space, etc.)
- Access to Âé¶¹APPIntra-Net
- Immigration Orientation (first week of arrival)
- Campus Tour
- Teaching military faculty will also:
- Meet with their Âé¶¹APPAcademic Department and Department Head
- Attend Âé¶¹APPNew Faculty Orientation one week prior to classes
- Conduct an English Proficiency Interview
Military Scholar Logistics
- Lodging – Âé¶¹APPwill support lodging for all military scholars either on the Âé¶¹APPcampus or in the local Dahlonega community. Must be agreed upon between Âé¶¹APPand Military Institution.
- Meals – Military scholars are responsible for their own meals while at UNG. Visiting Military Scholars may elect to purchase a .
- Airport Pickup – The GMP Team will pick up military scholars from the Atlanta International Airport.
- Transportation – While at UNG, military scholars are responsible for their own daily transportation to and from UNG.
